WTO Accession Commitments

The WTO Accession Commitments Database (ACDB) is a comprehensive platform developed by the World Trade Organization (WTO) to facilitate access to the accession commitments of Members that have joined the WTO pursuant to Article XII of the Marrakesh Agreement. This database consolidates information from Working Party Reports and Accession Protocols, providing detailed insights into the trade policy commitments made by acceding countries.

Key Data Components:
1. Working Party Reports:
- Detailed reports prepared by the Working Party established to examine the trade policies and practices of an acceding country.
- These reports contain a record of the discussions that take place in the Working Parties and the agreed legally-binding commitments of the new Member.
- Users can browse the report by section (e.g. Economic policies, Policies affecting trade in goods, etc.) or search by key words.

2. Accession Protocols: Formal agreements that finalize a Member’s entry into the WTO by setting out all the terms and conditions of a country's accession to the WTO.
