World Tariff Profiles

The World Tariff Profiles dataset is an annual co-publication by the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Trade Centre (ITC), and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). This comprehensive statistical yearbook focuses on market access for goods, providing detailed information on tariffs and non-tariff measures. It covers over 170 countries and customs territories, including WTO members and non-WTO members for which the most recent tariff data is available. The dataset is designed to facilitate comparisons across countries/territories, between various sectors, and specifically, to allow for comparison between bound and applied tariffs for WTO members.

Key data components:
Tariff Data:
- Data on bound and Most Favoured Nation (MFN) applied tariffs.
- Indicators such as simple average tariffs, trade-weighted average tariffs, percentage of duty-free tariff lines, and the share of non-ad valorem duties.
- Metrics like maximum duty, number of distinct duty rates, and binding coverage are also included.

Trade Data: Imports and exports profiles, presented for all products, and broken down by agricultural and non-agricultural sectors.

Non-Tariff Measures (NTMs): Statistics on anti-dumping actions, countervailing duties, and safeguard measures.

Special Topics: Analytical papers on specific subjects every year.
