Dispute Settlement Database

The WTO Dispute Settlement Database provides information relating to the proceedings in each case. Users are able, through targeted searches, to access information relating to proceedings in a specific case, or to identify cases meeting certain search criteria.

Key Data Components:
General searches – Users may search for disputes by title, by a set of keywords organized in three general categories (goods, services, intellectual property), as well as by Members involved, WTO Agreement, relevant Article cited, and date.

Specific searches – Users may search for disputes where a selected Member has participated, disputes concerning a selected Agreement and provision, or for all documents related to a specific dispute. Users can also access information on participation of panelists and Appellate Body members in disputes.

Statistical reports – The dataset generates up-to-date statistical reports on the participation of specific Members in disputes, on the participation of panelists by Member, as well as an overveiw of dispute settlement activity.
