Grain and Wheat Maritime Trade

The WTO Global Trade Data Porta* provides real-time insights into global trade flows, with a particular focus on grain commodities, leveraging both WTO-generated statistics and external data sources.

Key Data Components:
Grain Maritime Trade & Food Security Dashboard: Offers weekly visualizations of grain shipments, including wheat, barley, and corn, over the past 14 days. This dashboard provides a global overview of imports by key food and feed products directly relevant to food security.

Wheat Maritime Trade & Food Security Dashboard: Developed in collaboration with the International Grains Council (IGC), this dashboard presents bi-weekly updates on international seaborne wheat trade, covering both exports and imports for selected exporters and importing regions. It includes indicators such as average delivery times and production-to-consumption ratios by region.

Real-Time Data Based on Non-WTO Data Sources: Provides access to real-time trade insights, particularly focusing on grain commodities. This data is sourced from external providers, enhancing the breadth of available trade information.

Geographical Coverage: The dashboards cover multiple regions, including key exporters and importing countries.

Temporal Coverage: Data is updated regularly, with the Grain Maritime Trade Dashboard updated weekly and the Wheat Maritime Trade Dashboard updated bi-weekly.

Data Granularity: The dashboards provide detailed information on trade volumes, delivery times, and production-to-consumption ratios, facilitating in-depth analysis of global grain trade dynamics.
