The WTO Technical Assistance Management System (TAMS) is a comprehensive platform developed by the World Trade Organization (WTO) to manage and monitor its trade-related technical assistance (TRTA) activities. TAMS serves as a centralized repository for information on planned and implemented technical assistance and training events aimed at building the trade capacity of developing and least-developed countries.
Key Data Components:
Activities catalogue – WTO technical‑assistance or training event held since 1 January 2019. Core fields capture the title, country (and often city) of the TA, start and end dates, duration in days and delivery mode (face‑to‑face, virtual, blended or partner‑led).
Participants file – A companion dataset logs every person who actually attended an activity. It records nationality, gender, job role and the activity code they attended, making it possible to analyse reach by region, sector or audience type.
Feedback & evaluation – Anonymous post‑course questionnaires covering relevance, organisation and reported knowledge gains; these Likert‑scale scores and free‑text comments are stored in the dataset.
Language – Language of instruction.
