GATS services commitments, preferences for LDCs and MFN exemptions

The GATS services commitments, preferences and MFN exemptions database contains all the specific commitments and exemptions to the obligation of most-favoured-nation treatment (MFN) undertaken by WTO Members under the GATS. The GATS database also includes the preferences for least-developed countries granted by WTO Members under the LDC Services Waiver. The list of notifying Members is available from the I-TIP Services portal.

  • Sectoral Coverage: The data includes commitments across a range of service sectors, such as financial services, telecommunications, transportation, and professional services.
  • Mode of Supply: The commitments are categorized according to the four modes of supply defined under GATS: cross-border supply, consumption abroad, commercial presence, and presence of natural persons.
