Integrated Database

The Integrated Database (IDB), maintained by the World Trade Organization (WTO) provides comprehensive information on Most Favoured Nation (MFN) applied tariffs, preferential duties and corresponding import statistics at the national tariff line level. The IDB complements the Consolidated Tariff Schedules (CTS) database by focusing on the actual tariffs that WTO Members apply to imports, as opposed to their bound (maximum commitment) rates. Like the CTS, the IDB is a working tool intended to enhance transparency and facilitate market access analysis, and its content does not carry legal implications.

Key data components
Applied Tariffs:
- Most Favoured Nation (MFN) Applied Duty Rates: Detailed applied tariff rates for individual products at the national tariff line level. These are the duties a country/territory applies to imports from all other WTO Members, unless a preferential agreement applies.
- Other Duties and Charges (ODCs): Information on any additional duties or charges applied to imports in addition to the MFN tariff.

Import Statistics:
- Annual Import Values and Quantities: Corresponding import data (values in US dollars and, where available, quantities) for each specific tariff line.
- Import Sources: Import data is broken down by partner country, allowing for detailed analysis of trade flows.

Product Classification: Data is submitted by Members in their national tariff structure, which is typically based on the Harmonized System (HS) nomenclature.

Coverage and Updates:
- The IDB contains data from WTO Members and some acceding countries, dating back to 1996 for many Members.
- It is regularly updated with new submissions, corrections, and revisions provided by WTO Members.
