Goods Schedules

The WTO Goods Schedules e-Library dataset comprises the legally binding commitments made by World Trade Organization (WTO) Members regarding tariff concessions and related trade obligations. These commitments are documented in the WTO Schedules of Concessions, which are integral to the multilateral trading system established under the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and the Marrakesh Agreement. It serves as a comprehensive resource for analyzing the evolution of tariff commitments and understanding the trade obligations of WTO Members.

Key Data Components:
Tariff Concessions: Detailed information on the maximum tariff rates that WTO Members have agreed not to exceed on imports from other Members.

Schedule Types: Data includes various types of schedules such as Uruguay Round Schedules, sectoral negotiations (e.g., Information Technology Agreement, Pharmaceutical Products, Spirits), and other modifications under Article XXVIII of GATT 1994.

Procedures and Modifications: Records of procedures for renegotiations, rectifications, and modifications to existing commitments, including those under the 1980 Procedures.

Data Structure and Scope:
Member Profiles: The dataset is organized by individual WTO Members, providing access to each Member's specific commitments and any related modifications or procedures.

HS Nomenclature: Tariff concessions are detailed according to the Harmonized System (HS) codes, facilitating product-specific analysis.
